Śrī Śrīmad 108 Ananta Dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja

Śrī Śrīmad 108 Ananta Dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja is extremely revered Saint in the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Society and needs no introduction for the world of the seekers of Absolute Truth.

Present Rädhäkunda Mahanta, Bābājī Mahārāja is the 34th Representative of the seat of Raghunatha Dāsa Gosvāmi. The pillar of the Original Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition, for the world now, Bābājī Mahārāja is the Foremost proponent of Rāgānugā Bhakti, the ānugatyamaya bhakti of Rāgātmikā devotees.

The Most Prominent Ācārya and The Foremost Preacher of Rāgamārga, He has bejewelled the Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Society with His Nectarine Līlā Kathās commentaries Numerous Granthas /Scriptures which form the backbone of Ragamarga Preaching works over the globe.

The Acarya graced the world with His Appearance in 1927 in a district of Jharikhand. He spent His initial years as a householder. During those times, He heard of Śrī Śrīmad Kunja Bihārī Dāsa Bābājī Mahārāja who was influential as Bhajanandi Saint in Jharikhand. In 1950, He decided to leave for a pilgrimage from Jharkhand to meet the saint and followed Him in the pilgrimage from Jharikhand until He met Him at Śrī Rādhākunda. There He received Initiation from Him, into the disciplic succession, descending from Śri Nityananda Prabhu and Śrīmatī Jāhnavā Mātā.

Despite having intense desire to spend the rest of His Life at Sri Radhakunda, Babaji returned back to His Village, to serve the order of His Spiritual Master to spread the Message of Lord Gauranga and initiate people into Spiritual life.

Eventually, He came to stay at Śrī Rādhākuṇḍa forever and then received the cloth of an ascetic from Sri Kunja Bihari Dasa Babaji. Over the decades to come, He engaged Himself in a deep study of the Gauḍīya canon of sacred texts, whilst absorbing more and more into bhajana, both in the external and the internal methods of worshiping Rādhā Kṛṣṇa and Gauranga.

Babaji Maharaja's voluminous contribution of Granthas includes His nectarine commentaries on the foundational Scriptures of Six Gosvāmīs such as Vilāpa Kusumāñjalī, Sri Stavvavali, and of the later great Ācāryas such as Sri Radharasa Sudhānidhi (of Śrī Prabodānanda Sarasvati), Śrī Śrī Prema Bhakti Candrikā (of Śrī Narottama Dāsa.Thakura), to name a few. The books He wrote Himself are Sādhya Sadhana tattva vijñāna, the glory and heritage of Rādhākuṇḍa, Śrī Bhagavat Tattva vijñāna and many others, which open up the understanding into deep principles of bhakti.

His work on Scriptures makes evident of His Intensity of Bhajana and Deep Realisations, and clarity into the matter of Ragamärga Bhajana and Lord's Pastimes. They swiftly make one experience and relish Radha Krsna's sweetness and make clear (elucidate) the real understanding of the works of Gosvāmīs and Acāryas.

Foremost Acārya in Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava Society, He has inspired the world through His Humble conduct, purity of heart and deep understanding of the principles of bhakti. He

is living a life of ascetic yet a Preacher, preaching the pure message of Mahaprabhu. Astonishing everyone, He used to take 4 Kathās daily in the Kumbha fair many years back.

Babaji Maharaja is popularly addressed as "Pandit Ji" across the 84 acre Vraja District, for His incomparable knowledge and practical realisations of the Spiritual World. The Divine Father is having thousands of disciples all over the globe performing Rāgamārga Bhajana.
